wedding cake
Hello! It has been far too long since I posted. Things have been pretty crazy! November 24th was Alison's wedding. I made the cake as pictured above.

I was also a bridesmaid. It was absolutely beautiful! You can see pictures at http://www.68photography.ca/. Send me an email if you need a password to see the pics.

Right now we're in LA visiting with my fam. We will sure miss Aberta, friends, family, and of course... mountains. But, I don't think I will miss that cold wind! To all of our Canadian fans out there... we love you and already miss you!

Things in Louisana are going just swell. It has been so nice to see the fam, even though, it is a constant effort to keep my siblings from hovering and smothering Jubilee. She isn't quite used to the noise level either. I guess we shouild have spent more time with Lance and riding in Jordan's car! Well, I better go get in some more visiting!

Beautiful doesn't even come close...

Well it is long past time that I get around to posting some more pictures of Jubilee. I have been enjoying her so much. She is such a precious gift.
My favorite thing is to come home and see Jubilee and Tricia stretched out on a bed sleeping together. I'll stand there for a while and just look at my beautiful girls... What a blessing they are.

It's a Girl!

Jubilee Faith Taylor was welcomed into the world at 3:45 am Thursday July 12.
She was 7 lb 8 oz and 20 '' long.

Tricia and I had been anxiously awaiting the arrival of our baby and when Tricia's water broke at 6am TUESDAY morning we were expecting the baby later that day. Jubilee, however, had other plans...

After 44 hours of labor we took Tricia into the hospital where they confirmed what we expected; they baby was partially posterior (facing the wrong direction) Her head was turned and she wasn't able to fit down right. The doctors used a vacuum to turn her head and then Tricia was able to push her out right after that. We now have a healthy little girl. Tricia is a little sore but she is doing really well too.

During the early stages of Tricia's labor she and I were comparing giving birth to running an ironman triathlon (a 2.4 mi [3.9km] swim, 112 mi [180km] bike ride and a 26.2 mi [42km] run) We decided that they would be fairly close but the ironman might be a little harder... Boy, were we ever wrong in Tricia's case! With almost 46 HOURS of labor (granted not all of that time was really hard labor) I think anyone in their right mind would rather run an ironman! And I thought me running a triathlon was impressive... Not even close.

We will post some more pictures and details in the next few days. Just give us a chance to rest up a little first!

Stephen's first Triathlon

On Sunday, June 24th, Stephen officially became a triathlete! He ran in the Sprint distance in the Edmonton 2007 BG Triathlon World Cup. He heard about it through his cousin Lowell, who also ran. Lowell ran with his fiance, Julie. Stephen's brother Jordan, and friend Lance decided to join in the fun too! The sprint consisted of a 750 meter swim, a 20k bike ride, and a 5 k run. In Stephen's age group there were 8 contestants. He finished 6th in his age group overall . His swim time was 7th at 17:19 min. His bike time was 5th at 41:47. His run was 5th at 23:36. His overall time was 1:22:41! He came in 42nd out of 89 men running the Sprint. What an awesome time for his first triathlon! I'm so proud of him, and he had SOOO much fun running it!
